Arboretum raises parking fee
ASHEVILLE -- The N.C. Arboretum will raise its parking fee from $6 to $8 per car, effective Dec. 1. Commercial vans will be $30 and buses $50. Free parking, now available every Tuesday, will be offered only on the first Tuesday of the month, beginning in January.
Residents fear Woodfin rules will allow subdivisions to replace forest
Today, the Woodfin Town Council is expected to approve the voluntary annexation of 138 acres stretching from the Reynolds Mountain subdivision along the outskirts of the Asheville Country Club to property near Elk Mountain Scenic Highway.
